What do you think on drug addict? I believe that most of us hate them and I also get used to it. Since last year (2008) I realized a thing. Why do I need to hate them? In our society, we are trying to isolate them, get rid of them, keep dumping them, but why? I do believe that drug addict is also a human being and they also need to be treated as a human. They become drug addict for so many reasons and I like to call them as "unfortunate" peoples. The reasons why they take that way because of they are lacking of love, desperation, stress, peer pressure and etc.
I feel sorry to them and start to asking myself "Why should I treat them that way?". Is it because I am good enough compared to them? Is it because of I am such an educated person? The answer is I am arrogant and I am not in their shoes. I used to talk with a drug addict and he just dead recently. He always told me this phrase "If you found a broken and empty can, and you make the can worse, what will happen to the can? And what will happen to the can when you do another way round?" So he makes me thing differently on drug addict. Actually they need our love and care about them. They want to change but they need a little help. They also realized that they just done a big mistake to their life. We as a society should encourage and give them the strength. Tell them that they can do it. For your information, my friends and I just succeed turn a drug addicted to to a normal person. And he now live his life with a happy family. Thank God.
So I hope that, when you work with a drug addicts (either they are one of you family or your friends), do not trying to isolate or get rid of them, but try to help them as much as you can. You may have a chance to change them. Don't compared them with us and don't think they are bad since they are drug addicts. In fact, they maybe more nicer compared to us. Believe that you can make a different.
